ZHAMBAI TRIO CD-Release Concert

Vancouver’s own ZHAMBAI TRIO is happy to release their debut full-length CD of traditional and original Zimbabwean music featuring the intriguing mbira, marimba, ngoma and hosho. They will be joined by high-energy electric Afro-fusion group ZIMBAMOTO and very special guests BONGO LOVE (direct from Zimbabwe!) who play their own brand of “Afrocoustics.”

ZHAMBAI TRIO

Zhambai Trio showcases the mesmerizing side of traditional mbira (thumb piano), marimba and hand drumming songs to give a glimpse of a softer, yet still invigorating, side of African music. The event celebrates the release of their album, “Tambanavo.”
