From the production team that brought you Ederlezi Balkan Brass Festival, Opa Tsupa, Mariachi-Trubachi, and other epic community events, Slivovica Productions, Caravan World Rhythms, and Transformation Projects are proud to present their newest celebration of food, music, dance, and community!
Inspired by “Supra”, the Georgian tradition of gathering around a feast table and participating in folk songs, music, and dance, we will bring this experience to Vancouver showcasing four cultures’ different ways of celebrating life.
As guests, you will be seated at long tables to enjoy a catered feast, and you are invited to join in as each group leads songs from their representative culture, in whichever manner you please!
Performers:
Onefourfive (Seattle) – Georgian tradition
To headline the event and celebrate the inspiration for this event, we welcome the Georgian polyphonic singing group “Onefourfive”, in their premiere Canadian performance. They will also be demonstrating Georgian folk dancing, truly one of the most spectacular dance traditons in the world:
